This course is Australia’s first online training course aimed at improving knowledge about, and support for people with deafblindness.

From it’s launch in October 2025, three groups have completed the course. We are pleased to announce it will continue to run through 2026-2027.

Enrolment

There are four groups planned, for 2026-2027. Start dates are in May, July, October 2026 and January 2027 respectively.

Course fee

The fee is set at $400 per place, and $300 for valid healthcare, pension or student card holders.

DBIA will subsidise the course fee for the year 2026-27. There will be up to 25 sponsored places available for each course group. Sponsored places are free to access and provided at cost to DBIA. This fee is subject to review in future course delivery.
