Tactile communication and the use of different hand positions: Deafblind International Communication Network Webinar recording now available
The Deafblind International Communication Network are delighted to be hosting a series of webinars. The first webinar on Early Intervention in April 2021 had over 100 participants from all over the world.
In this fourth webinar the focus is Tactile communication and the use of different hand positions. The webinar is inspired by the work of Barbara Miles and Michael Cyrus. It is presented by Helle Buelund Selling, member of the Nordic network on Tactile Language and Development, and consultant at the Center for Deafblindness and Hearing loss in Aalborg, Denmark.
The webinar series is aimed at family members of children and adults who were born with deafblindness or those with limited language (speech or sign) who wish to develop their own communication skills and the skills of their deafblind family member.
During the webinar it is possible to ask the presenter questions. Registrations are essential.

During the webinar there will be practical activities trying out the different hand positions. Therefore, we suggest that you attend the webinar together in pairs and bring an orange, a banana or a candy bar wrapped in paper.
