Cortical / cerebral vision impairment (CVI) webinar

Natalia Kelly is an orthoptist based in Melbourne, Australia, with 20 years of experience and a particular interest in paediatric vision and neurological vision impairment. She is also the owner and operator of an orthoptic practice, a university lecturer at LaTrobe University, co-founder of CVI Community Australia and member of Paediatric Vision Impairment Alliance Australia.

With CVI thought to be the leading cause of vision impairment in children in developed countries, Natalia will shed light on current understanding of this condition, describe the visual and behavioural characteristics, factors influencing vision in CVI, services and the role of the orthoptist in assessment and as part of the team supporting a person with deafblindness, who has CVI. Suitable for parents and practitioners.

There will be an opportunity at the end of the presentation for audience members to ask questions. This webinar will be live captioned and Auslan interpreted.
